Tesco Supply Chain's team in Welwyn Garden City raised over £4,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) with a walkathon across Hertfordshire.

More than 100 people took part in the walkathon, travelling 11 miles on a circular route from Tesco's headquarters in Welwyn Garden City past Tewin, Bramfield and Digswell.

The funds will be used to boost CRY's mission to research cardiac risks and provide vital screenings.

Shona Gibson, supply chain senior analyst said: "We would like to extend a huge thanks from our community team to everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated to this year’s Walkathon.

"Our walkathon is a lot more than just a fundraising event, it’s a great day out for the team, with a poignant message."
