A motorbike has been recovered in Potters Bar after being stolen during a burglary in Essex.

At around 10.14am yesterday (Wednesday, March 20) a member of the public reported seeing the vehicle in Carpenters Way, Potters Bar, which they suspected had been stolen.

Hertfordshire police attended the scene and confirmed that the motorbike was stolen, informing the original owner by 11.15am that their vehicle had been found.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "At around 10:14am yesterday (Wednesday, March 20), a member of the public reported a suspected stolen motorcycle in Carpenters Way, Potters Bar.

"Officers from the Hertsmere team attended and confirmed the motorcycle as stolen and at around 11.15am the victim was notified by the officers."
