Plans have been submitted to turn a former Potters Bar charity shop into a nail salon.

The application would see the usage of 55 Darkes Lane, once a Barnet Hospital Charity store, changed from Class E (retail) to a nail bar.

A proposed shop frontage, included within the plans, shows the store's name as 'Happy Nail'.

Floor plans are also included within the application, which feature a number of rooms, stairs and toilet facilities.

The site would sit between Costa and Vape Jungle, should plans be approved.

A comment made by Hertfordshire County Council reads: "The use is broadly consistent with retail uses, and would contribute to retail activity within the town centre, but unlikely to significantly represent a primary trip attractor in itself, and instead serve persons already attending the area for retail and service opportunities.

"Whilst a small number of trips may be unique and new, this would be unlikely to have any material impact on the highway network
