Isabel Hospice's Carols in the Chapel event is returning to Haileybury College this month.

The festive family fundraiser, featuring traditional carols and songs, will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday, December 19.

Last year's event was attended by 160 people and raised £2,500 to support the Welwyn Garden City-based hospice's vital work.

This year, the Ware Choral Society will perform Christmas carols, accompanied by organ player Barbara Manning.

The evening will also feature poems, readings and a raffle - with a chance to win a Christmas hamper stocked with seasonal goodies.

After the concert, mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls will be served in the Haileybury grand dining hall.

To book call on 01707 954850 or visit Isabelhospice.org.uk/events.

Isabel Hospice president Barbara Doherty OBE said: "The chapel at Haileybury College is a marvellous setting for our Carols in the Chapel event; votive candles light the windowsills and Christmas lights twinkle on the Christmas trees.
