Isabel Hospice has been shortlisted for an award - and the charity needs your help!

Isabel’s eBay online shop is in the running for the Social Impact Award, in the 2023 eBay Business Awards.

The entry is thanks to the charity's Tonnes of Care initiative launched in 2022, with a mission to turn pre-loved items into nursing hours, whilst also supporting the circular economy.

Winners of the award will gain access to a bespoke business growth package and a huge £10,000.

Show your support for the Welwyn Garden City-based hospice and cast your vote by visiting www.ebayawards.com.

Be sure to tell friends and family too, as every vote counts. Voting closes on Monday, August 7.

Isabel's Tonnes of Care enterprise, launched last April, is a five-year sustainability initiative to save 25,000 tonnes from landfill by 2027 – and at the same time, raise vital income to fund Isabel Hospice’ life-changing care.

As the initiative moves into its second year, nearly 36,000 bags of good quality donations have been saved from ending up in landfill in the past three months alone.

These goods have been used to stock Isabel Hospice’s 15 charity shops, and the eBay online store, and has helped Isabel continue to provide outstanding palliative care for those in the community.

Tonnes of Care turns people’s unused and unwanted clothing, homeware, electricals and more into nursing care by encouraging the public to donate good quality items to their shops.
