Children in Welwyn Hatfield are being spoilt for choice this autumn half term, with numerous activities to enjoy. 

Families can join the ‘Roman Army’ at the Welwyn Roman Baths on Tuesday, October 25, from 1.30 to 3.30pm.

Here, visitors can try their hand at shield-making, trying on a helmet for size and practising fun foam javelin throwing. 

The activity will cost £5 entry fee which includes admission to the Bath House. The Roman Baths are also open every weekend from 1pm to 4pm during half term and on Saturday it will be open from 10am to 4pm.

After the special Black History Month free community event and exhibition on Wednesday, October 26 - from 11am to 2pm at the Mill Green Museum - there will also be a ‘Hedgehogs at the Mill’ activity. 

It will include baking a hedgehog bread roll, made using dough from flour from the mill, along with a hedgehog story, hedgehog themed crafts and a chance to explore the mill and museum.  

The hedgehog-themed event will cost £5 per child, and with limited spaces, pre-booking is recommended. The Mill and Museum is also open for general admission as usual from Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

The Hive will also be hosting a ghoulishly good Halloween Party on Friday, October 28, from 1pm to 3pm.

Spooky fun and games and bouncy castle fun can be had for £5 per child.

Campus West will be putting on extra skating sessions from Wednesday through to Friday of half term, from 12.30pm to 2.15pm.  

Younger children can also bounce into Soft Play City, open from 9.30am to 4pm every day, and older kids can sit back and enjoy a cinematic experience with one of the fun family films on offer.
