PARENTS are always telling their children they should eat their greens and that vegetables are good for you.

Well a new show at Campus West, in Welwyn Garden City, next week gives you some vegetables that are very good indeed – and you don’t have to eat any of them!

On Monday, Storybox Theatre present The Pea, The Bean and The Enormous Turnip – a trio of tales for five to 11-year-olds.

Storyteller and puppeteer Rod Burnett, who also brought the sell-out show Jack to Campus West earlier this year, once again weaves his magic over an audience for a spellbinding hour of fun and fable.

Learn about the pea who finds a real princess, and hear the tale of the biggest turnip in the world.

Then there’s the story of the bean who runs away to make his own mark – three unforgettably leguminous tales of famous vegetables guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

The Pea, The Bean and The Enormous Turnip is on at the Hawthorne Studio on Monday at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 and are available from the theatre box office on 01707 357117 or online via www.welhat.gov.uk/cw
