THE tragic story of star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet can be seen on stage in Hatfield this weekend.
FOLLOWING their highly-praised performance of Macbeth last year, Icarus Theatre presents a bold and exciting production of Shakespeare’s most tragic tale – Romeo and Juliet.
In defiance of their families and in secrecy from their closest friends, hopeful young lives burn amidst a celestial and cataclysmic backdrop.
Sun and moon shine down on the star-crossed lovers as they hide their passion and sexuality from their warring families and their closest friends.
Icarus Theatre Collective is one of the most fearless and dynamic theatre companies in the UK and has gained a reputation for punchy and vibrant productions of classic and contemporary theatre.
Romeo and Juliet takes place at The Weston Auditorium on the de Havilland Campus, in Hatfield, on Saturday, April 20 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 adults, £8 concessions, and £6 children, and can be purchased from the UHArts box office on 01707 281127 or online at www.herts.ac.uk/artsandgalleries
