Organisers, The Watford Association of Magicians, aim to promote the improvement of magical entertainment in its varied forms, by putting together lectures/ workshops/ meetings/ competitions for both amateur and professional magicians.
The committee wanted to showcase the talent of the club, so decided to produce Magic & Mayhem.
Club president Ian Manly said: ‘’As a club, having been based in Hertfordshire for over 50 years, we felt that it was time to showcase the fantastic talent within the club.
“We felt a real need for a family theatre show during a half-term within Hertfordshire, plus with the heightened presence of magic on TV, we decided to give families a live taste of magic in its truest forms in a theatre.
“I am thrilled to be working alongside some fantastic performers, and we can’t wait to show the families of Hertfordshire what The Watford Association of Magicians have up our sleeves!’’
• Magic & Mayhem can be seen at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, on Tuesday, October 25 at 2pm.
