A swashbuckling adventure will grip theatre lovers in Welwyn Garden City later this month.
The multi-award winning Sell A Door Theatre Company presents a new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Kidnapped at the Hawthorne Theatre on Sunday, February 16.
Set in the aftermath of the Jacobite Uprising of 1745, Kidnapped is a tale of friendship in the most unlikely of circumstances and the courage that it can inspire.
Now in his later years, David Balfour tells his own children of his early adventures.
Tricked by his miserly uncle, David is plunged into a world of strange and unsavoury characters, shipwrecks, mystery and peril.
Saved only by the friendship of Alan Breck, a man who should be his sworn enemy, David gains the strength to take control of his own destiny.
Full of swashbuckling sword fights and larger-than-life puppets, Kidnapped is perfect for audiences – young and old alike – who crave adventurous live theatre.
There are performances at 1pm and 5pm.
Tickets are £15 standard, £10 Zebra Card and £12 concessions
