Charles Dickens’ classic story A Christmas Carol is brought to life at the Barn Theatre in Welwyn Garden City in an exciting new musical adaptation.
Bah, humbug! If you are not in the festive spirit just yet, you had better pop along to the Barn Theatre for A Christmas Carol.
The theatre in Handside Lane, Welwyn Garden City, is presenting an exciting new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ well-loved tale of penny-pinching old miser Ebenezer Scrooge.
Filled with joy, laughter and heartbreaking moments, A Christmas Carol has something for everyone, both young and old.
Dick Breeze takes on the role of Scrooge, the curmudgeonly old man who is visited by the ghosts of Past, Present and Future.
Directed by Vikki Myddelton, with musical director Emma Harrison, this ghostly tale is brought to life on stage at the Barn from tomorrow (Friday).
Keeping true to the original text, it draws upon the themes of time, family and society’s ills to warm even the coldest of hearts.
Bringing the atmosphere of Victorian Christmas traditions to the stage, this vibrant and joyous musical takes you on a journey of discovery – a journey where the true meaning of Christmas is found.
With a cavalcade of colourful Dickensian characters and a ghostly quartet of guardians, A Christmas Carol is the perfect way to get you into the Christmas spirit.
A Christmas Carol plays at the Barn Theatre from December 12 until Wednesday, December 31, with evening performances at 7.30pm and matinees at 2.30pm.
