Digswell Players’ seasonal offering is Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, by Alan Frayn.

All the traditional elements will be there – evil baddies to boo, dashing heroes to cheer, a dame to laugh at, and singing and dancing to enjoy.

Can the Players get 40 thieves on their stage?

How can Marjana fly on a magic carpet?

Will she rescue Ali Baba from the thieves’ cave?

Will there be a happy ending?

The happy ending is a certainty, but you’ll have to visit Digswell Village Hall in January to find out the rest.

Matinees at 2.30pm are on New Year’s Day, Saturday, January 3, Sunday, January 4 and Saturday, January 10.
