A TREAT for children during half term is on at Campus West in Welwyn Garden City tomorrow (Wednesday).
HAVE you ever taken a story out for a walk?
Have you watched, fascinated, as giants and dancing magic beans and a particularly friendly cow all come together to make a magical hour of entertainment?
No? Then you haven’t seen Rod Burnett of Storybox Theatre telling the story of Jack.
Forget panto – this is the tale of Jack, and his beanstalk, as you have never seen it before.
With a Celtic harp, Irish bodhrán and tabletop puppets, Rod tells a story of enchantment and magic, of cruelty and humour, ingenuity and triumph over gigantic adversity.
Designed and created as a show to promote creative thinking, Jack is a rare treat from an internationally renowned storyteller.
Using the intimate surroundings of the Hawthorne Studio in WGC, Jack is a magical, enthralling and entertaining production from a brilliant puppeteer.
And taking a story out for a walk?
Well, that’s the term Storybox use for when a story is told again, when the audience go home and retell it for their own pleasure.
Jack is on at Campus West on Wednesday at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £8.
