The Greatest Showman and Dirty Dancing are coming to open-air cinema in Hatfield this summer.

An original musical inspired by circus visionary P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman (PG) has wowed cinema audiences since its release in 2017.

Star Hugh Jackman belted out songs from the musical at the BRIT Awards in London last month.

And you can see the movie at Hatfield House in August as part of the 2019 The Luna Cinema season.

You can sing along to This Is Me and The Greatest Showman’s other hit songs at the Hertfordshire stately home on Friday, August 23.

There’s another hugely popular musical being screened under the stars by The Luna Cinema the following night.

Nobody will be putting Baby in the corner at Hatfield House on Saturday, August 24 when Dirty Dancing (12A) will be shown on the big screen.

Featuring Oscar winning song (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life, the 1987 American romantic drama stars Jennifer Grey as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman and Patrick Swayze as dance instructor Johnny Castle.

George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, said: “We are hugely excited to be announcing our 2019 season, our biggest year of open-air cinema yet.

“With the incredible number of great films released in the last 12 months, it’s shaping up to be a really special one.”

Doors open at 6.45pm each night, and the screenings will start at 8.15pm.

Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, March 8.
