The new River Cottage Kitchen and Deli has opened at Hatfield House - and you could win a meal for two at the restaurant.
The eatery and delicatessen from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s acclaimed River Cottage replaces the former Coach House restaurant in The Stable Yard in the grounds of the Hertfordshire stately home.
The new restaurant and deli has been opened in partnership with food writer and campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and his River Cottage team.
From a light bite or afternoon tea, to a three-course seasonal meal, there is something for everyone at the new River Cottage Kitchen & Deli.
It will be open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm.
The River Cottage Kitchen and Deli will also be open on Bank Holiday Mondays throughout the summer, but will be closed on Good Friday.
Hot food will be available from 11.30am to 2.30pm each day.
The new River Cottage Deli is situated next door to the restaurant.
This sells light takeaway snacks, alongside wholesome salads.
To celebrate the opening of the new River Cottage Kitchen and Deli at Hatfield House, we have a great competition for Welwyn Hatfield Times Magazine readers.
See this week’s magazine, which comes out with the Welwyn Hatfield Times newspaper on Wednesday, for the chance to win a £50 voucher to spend on a meal for two in River Cottage Kitchen & Deli.
And that’s not all. The prize also includes two adults tickets to Hatfield House, Park and Gardens.
So pick up a copy of the Welwyn Hatfield Times, out Wednesday, March 28.
• Hatfield House will reopen for the 2018 season on Saturday, March 31.
