Welwyn Garden City concert to be recorded by BBC Radio 3
This weekend's Herts Jazz Club concert in Welwyn Garden City will be recorded by BBC Radio 3.
Andrew Bain’s Project play Herts Jazz Club on Sunday, November 6.
One of the premier drummer/composers in the UK, Andrew is on his first nationwide tour with UK heavyweight pianist George Colligan, Thelonious Monk Competition winner Jon Irabagon on saxophone and Michael Janisch on the bass.
This trans-Atlantic project will aim to capture the excitement and energy of New York City, where all have lived.
Sunday’s gig is being recorded by the BBC Radio 3 Jazz Now programme, and is scheduled to be aired on December 12.
The concert in Screen 2 of the Hawthorne Theatre/Garden City Cinema complex at The Campus, WGC, starts slightly later than normal at 8pm.
Advance tickets cost £11 full, £10 concessions, £8 members and £3 students.
Walk-ups are £13 full, £12 concessions, £9 members and £5 students.
