Strictly Come Dancing finalist and radio presenter Mark Wright surprised a Potters Bar woman with an Interflora bouquet for her outstanding work within the community.

Interflora, the official flower partner for Surprise Surprise on ITV, has teamed up with ex-Towie star to hand deliver surprise bouquets to seven special people across the country, including Emma Smyth from Potters Bar.

Emma was nominated to receive her stunning bouquet by her husband Andrew, for her dedication to the community as a teacher at St Albans Girls’ School.

She also selflessly takes time out of her own busy schedule to volunteer as a Cadet Leader at her local Air Cadet Squadron, where she works with young people to develop their confidence and discipline.

TV viewers tonight (Wednesday) saw Mark present Emma with her flowers during the advertising breaks of the primetime ITV show Surprise Surprise.

“It was a complete shock but a lovely way to be recognised for the hard work I do for my job as a teacher and at my Air Cadet Squadron,” said Emma, a huge Mark Wright fan.

“I was dumbfounded and starstruck to say the least, as it’s not every day a film crew and celebrity pay you a visit.

“I can’t believe that so many people kept the surprise a secret!”

Lyn Davies, head of sales and marketing at Interflora, said: “There are so many special people across the UK and we are thrilled and extremely proud to be able to give back to some of these with our ‘Surprise Someone Special’ campaign.

“Interflora has been creating and delivering surprises and spectacular moments for our customers for over 90 years and when we heard of Emma’s story, we knew she particularly deserved a special surprise moment.”

Interflora will surprising one more lucky person with a delivery from Mark Wright for the Surprise Surprise Christmas Special.
