Comedian Seann Walsh had to cancel his stand-up show in Hertford tonight (Saturday) after taking the train to Hereford by mistake.
The rising star was due to appear live at Hertford Theatre this evening.
However, Walsh went to the wrong venue and apologised via Twitter after arriving in Hereford – more than 125 miles away.
Walsh (@seannwalsh) tweeted: “HERTFORD! I REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT TONIGHT’S SHOW IS CANCELLED DUE TO ME ARRIVING AT HEREFORD NEAR WALES. I AM SO SORRY. PLEASE FEEL...
“...FREE TO TWEET ME ABUSE!!!!! I WILL MAKE SURE I RESCHEDULE IF YOU DON’T HATE ME NOW!”
To add insult to injury, Walsh’s train home to London Paddington was cancelled.
After taking another train to Newport in south Wales – not Newport, Isle of Wight – Seann tweeted: “... I’d just like to apologise again to HerTford. Sorry”
Ticket holders can claim refunds from the Hertford Theatre box office.
Hertford Theatre (@hertfordtheatre) tweeted: “.@seannwalsh IS CANCELLED TONIGHT! (He went to Hereford!) Refund from 01992531500 tonight or during the week,we hope he’ll make here 1day!”
