Cheers! The ultimate festival for Prosecco lovers is coming to St Albans for the very first time.
The Prosecco Festival will give bubble lovers a chance to sample more than 40 types of Prosecco and fizz at The Alban Arena.
The event has taken the UK by storm, taking place annually at more than 40 venues across the country.
The Alban Arena will host the Hertfordshire event next summer.
It will take place at the St Albans venue on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2, 2018, with afternoon and evening sessions available.
There will be dedicated bars offering more than 40 types of Prosecco, Spumante, Cava, Brut, Pink Fizz and even Prosecco cocktails.
And for those non-fizz fans, there will be a Peroni offering, too.
‘’The team at Prosecco Festival HQ are all very excited to bring our national Prosecco festival to St Albans in June 2018,” said director Jessica Rice.
“We’ve heard that St Albans loves its fizz, and due to demand, we simply had to add a June date.
“The event has been hugely successful UK wide, with rave reviews too.’’
An evening session will take place between 6.30pm and 11pm on the Friday, followed by an afternoon session on the Saturday between 12.30pm until 5pm, and a further evening session on the Saturday from 6.30pm until 11pm.
A Prosecco festival wouldn’t be complete without Italian street foods, designed to complement the array of fizz on offer.
There will also be a live stage with entertainment throughout each session, complete with a floor-filling band.
