Families are being invited to celebrate National Libraries Day this Saturday at Hatfield Library in Queensway.

There will be a story-time session with children’s favourite, ‘Bookstart Bear’, between 2.30pm and 3pm, and activities for under-eights.

There will also be an adult quiz, the winner of which will win a Kindle Fire.

Cabinet member for public health, localism and libraries, Teresa Heritage, said: “Libraries are a vibrant asset to any community, and we would encourage everyone to visit their local library on National Libraries Day to find out about the range of offers and events available to residents.”
