OOH LA LA! A funny Frenchman is coming to Hertfordshire next week to bring some Gallic humour to a regular night of laughs.
Funny First Mondays presents a top night of comedy featuring the first French comedian to play St Albans on Monday.
Marcel Lucont is regarded as France’s premier stand-up comedian, although what the competition is for that accolade across la Manche remains to be seen.
He has his own TV show in France and has headlined the Paris Comedy Festival, as well as touring the French speaking world.
He heads to St Albans Town Hall as part of his first full UK tour, having wowed critics and audiences alike in Edinburgh last year.
And yes, don’t worry, he does perform in English.
Marcel is not the only TV star on the bill as FFM also have Jeff Leach, best known as the presenter of Big Brother’s Little Brother and Comedy Relief’s Naughty Bits.
He turned to stand-up just over a year ago and took his first solo show, A Leach on Society, to Edinburgh with critical acclaim.
Also on the bill are Chris Purchas and FFM Comedy Course graduate Matthew King.
The whole thing will be held together by special guest MC Mike Belgrave.
Tickets are £8, available in advance from the Funny First Mondays website, by telephone on 01525 630153 or on the door on the night of the show.
Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
