Dominic Holland will be the headline act at the next The Official Comedy Club night at Welwyn Garden City

THERE’S another treble bill of comedy winging its way to the Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City next week.

The Official Comedy Club returns to the WGC sports complex on Friday, October 26 with three top acts from the prestigious UK comedy circuit.

Andrew Ryan will be the host comedian for the night with Canadian stand-up Peter White due to open the show. Dominic Holland is scheduled to be the headline comedian.

Host Andrew Ryan has been bringing his charm to comedy clubs around the UK since 2008. The Cork native immediately gets audiences on-side with his likable, bewildered style described as “impossible not to warm to” by Chortle.

With his star clearly in ascendancy, expect to see much more of this emerging comedy talent.

Opening act Peter White thinks he’s hilarious. Other people seem to agree. Born in a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada, Peter has gone on to accomplish a lot in a short time.

He recorded his own hour-long Comedy Network stand-up special, was nominated for Canadian Comedy Award and a Writer’s Guild of Canada Award, and appeared in a TV mini series with Pierce Brosnan.

He’s performed all across Canada, including the prestigious Just for Laugh’s international comedy festival in Montreal, and has written for various television shows.

Headliner Dominic Holland is regarded as one of television’s quickest wits and has appeared on shows such as Have I Got News For You and Clive James.

Tickets for the Stanborough Road show cost £15 for non Comedy Club members and a discounted £12.50 for members.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the comedy begins an hour later. Call the box office on 01707 384329 or register for free membership at
