Alexei Sayle is coming to the Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City


COMEDIAN Alexei Sayle appears at Campus West in Welwyn Garden City this weekend.

FORMER The Young Ones star Alexei Sayle was born in Liverpool on the day egg rationing came to an end.

He always knew his parents were different. They ate salad. And they only read the Soviet Weekly.

They also travelled to seaside towns to attend union conferences and across Europe, determined to see Communism in action, visiting the sites of massacres, riding in space age limousines and seeing bizarre mime shows.

Sayle will reads excerpts from Stalin Ate My Homework, the hilarious memoirs of his confusing life as the son of Communist parents, together with snippets from the book he is currently working on, at the Hawthorne Studio at Campus West, WGC, on Friday, August 17.

He will also answer audience questions on his dazzling show business career.

Tickets cost £14 if bought in advance, up to 10pm the day before the performance, and then £18.
