Zombies set for homecoming concert in St Albans

ROCK band The Zombies are returning to St Albans for a homecoming concert at the Alban Arena later this month.
WITH season four of hit TV series The Walking Dead not hitting our screens until later this year, fans of the undead can get their post-apocalyptic fix in St Albans on Sunday, May 26.
For the original Zombies – the 1960s band of that named – are playing another homecoming concert at the Alban Arena.
Formed by Hatfield’s Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent in the early 60s, The Zombies are still best known for their 1964 debut single She’s Not There.
The track was famously covered by Santana, while keyboardist Rod later enjoyed a huge hit in the 70s with his own band Argent, with single Hold Your Head Up.
The Zombies reformed a few years back are still touring today and return to the Alban Arena on Sunday, May 26 at 8pm.
The St Albans gig will be the highlight of the group’s May tour, taking band members Argent, Blunstone, Jim Rodford and Steve Rodford back to where they grew up and where, apart from Colin, they still live in the vicinity of.
Tickets for the show cost £22.50, concessions £2.50 off.
