Members of a Welwyn Garden City choir will be singing their hearts out for charity this weekend.
The WGC Male Voice Choir is getting into the festive spirit and holding its own Christmas concert.
They will be singing at St John’s Digswell, in Monks Rise, on Saturday at 7.30pm, to raise money to help those affected by heart disease.
The choir has been performing for almost 80 years, and members are delighted to be holding the concert in aid of Heart Research UK’s Sing for Your Heart campaign.
Second tenor Alan Cain said: “We are really happy to be holding this concert in aid of Heart Research UK’s Sing for Your Heart campaign.
“An event like this, bringing people together during the festive period, provides an opportunity to enjoy seasonal music and raise awareness of heart disease at the same time.”
The concert will see the choir performing a varied selection of music, including Christmas carols, and a performance from a guest soloist.
To add to the festive theme, mince pies and wine will be served through the interval.
Admission is free, and a collection will be made at the event, with all money going to the charity.
