Organisers have announced the BBC Radio 1 Summer of Dance Stage line-up for this year’s V Festival.

Presented by DJs Annie Mac and Danny Howard, the BBC Radio 1 Summer of Dance will get the V Festival 2016 party started at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, and Weston Park in Staffordshire.

The Summer of Dance season will open V Festival to weekend campers at both parks on Friday, August 19.

Hylands Park will feature sets from Annie Mac, DJ EZ, Danny Howard and Eric Prydz.

Over at V’s twin site, Danny Howard, Monki, Wilkinson (live), Gordon City (live) and Annie Mac will appear at Weston Park on the same day.

They join main stage headliners Justin Bieber and Rihanna on a star-studded V Festival bill over the weekend of Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21.

In the day splits already confirmed, Justin Bieber and Sia will appear at Hylands Park on Saturday, August 20 and at Weston Park the following night.

Rihanna and David Guetta will perform at Weston Park on the Saturday and at Hylands Park on Sunday, August 21.

The festival’s 21st birthday celebrations will also feature a host of homegrown British talent including Faithless, Kaiser Chiefs, Bastille, Little Mix, Jake Bugg, Jess Glynne and Example.
