V Festival 2013 countdown begins to headliner Beyonce

GATES to the V Festival 2013 campsites have opened, with the first bands due on stage in less than 24 hours.
Car parks are Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, were due to open at 10am today (Friday), with the campsites opening at noon.
Now in its 18th year, V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Media, attracts thousands of music fans each year and 2013 is set to be one of the biggest yet, with more than 180,000 festival-goers attending Hylands Park and twin site Weston Park in Staffordshire.
Saturday’s line-up in Essex will be headlined by Bootylicious diva Beyonce, in what marks her only festival performance of 2013.
American rockers Kings of Leon return to Hylands Park on Sunday night to blast through some of their biggest hits and tracks from their forthcoming new album.
Stereophonics, The Script, Emeli Sande, Calvin Harris, The Vaccines, Olly Murs, Rita Ora and many more are also getting ready to blow the crowds away with a weekend of unforgettable performances. The stage line-ups are pictured above.
As well as an electrifying music line-up, V Festival 2013 offers one of the best onsite festival experiences in the UK, with something for everyone.
The popular Glee Club Comedy Tent is making a return, featuring comedy’s finest, including headliner Eddie Izzard, plus Jon Richardson, Paul Chowdhry, Josh Widdicombe and many more.
Sponsors Virgin Media will host the renowned Our House, the ultimate house party featuring some of the hottest dance acts in the world.
This year’s line-up includes a special headline DJ set by Rudimental, as well as a surprise collaboration from DJ Fresh.
Virgin Media customers will be treated to their own exclusive chill-out area – the Our Garden – situated next to Our House.
Those lucky enough to be in Our Garden can expect lots of special treats over the weekend, including chances to win amazing experiences such as access to the side of the stage to watch V Festival acts.
