The Urban Soul Orchestra is set to release a Classic Ibiza album ahead of its Knebworth House performance next month.

The Knebworth Proms takes place at the Hertfordshire stately home over the weekend of Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20.

The weekend kicks off with Classic Ibiza featuring the Urban Soul Orchestra and DJ Goldierocks.

The Great British Prom takes place the following day.

Ahead of the opening Knebworth concert, the USO will release an album of club classics from the ‘White Island’ on Friday, August 4.

It will feature iconic club anthems and chill-out classics re-worked with new and exclusive orchestrations by Stephen Hussey.

Stephen’s arrangements show a deep love and understanding of the two worlds of music brought together on this project and the result is an exciting journey cross sub-genres.

The Urban Soul Orchestra has been working at the top of the UK music industry for over 25 years, providing the strings on many of the original recordings and working alongside many of the great artists whose music is featured in the Classic Ibiza live show, including Nightmares On Wax, Groove Armada, Ultra Nate, Octave One, Full Intention, Yann Destal (Modjo) Robert Miles and Spiller.

The full track listing on the album is Les Nuits (Nightmares On Wax), At The River (Groove Armada), Here With Me (Dido), Unfinished Sympathy (Massive Attack), Children (Robert Miles), Insomnia (Faithless), Blind Faith (Chase & Status), Knights Of The Jaguar (DJ Rolando), Classic Ibiza Megamix (Various Artists), Titanium (David Guetta) and Don’t You Worry Child (Swedish House Mafia).

Conductor Stephen Hussey said: “I’m very proud to present this album, which brings together two worlds of music I’m equally passionate about – orchestral and dance.

“As with the Classic Ibiza show, there is something for everyone.

“It starts with beautiful and mellow chill-out classics, building to iconic house anthems of the 90s and noughties, and ending with some of the more recent club hits that crossed over into the mainstream.”

Classic Ibiza was produced by life-long friend and collaborator Joe Crisp (Spiral Music) and features vocal performances from Renn Washington, Roo Savill, Jina Burrows, Izzy Chase-Philmore and Fola.

Some of the violins used in the recording were made by the world’s finest instrument makers, including Gagliano, Guadagnini, Ornati, and the violin solo on Les Nuits was recorded on a genuine Stradivarius violin made in 1720.

A bonus track on the album, entitled Soul Of The World, is an original song featuring the stunning vocals of Fola, who has worked and toured with USO for over eight years and features the lush 36-piece strings of the Urban Soul Orchestra.

The lyrics of the song are uplifting, positive and give hope in these turbulent times.

The Classic Ibiza album is scheduled for release on Friday, August 4, 2017 and will be available on digital download, online streaming and CD.

A day later, the Urban Soul Orchestra and DJ Goldierocks will be performing at Bowood House in Wiltshire.

The show will then return to the Blickling Estate in Norfolk on Friday, August 11.

Knebworth House will stage Classic Ibiza live on Saturday, August 19, and it will then be performed at Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire, on September 1.
