UB40 have confirmed a concert date in Hertfordshire for next year, with tickets now on sale.

One of the most successful British groups of all time will be appearing at Watford Colosseum on Saturday, May 16 at 7.30pm.

This is not the version of UB40 fronted by Ali Campbell and Astro that appeared live in the grounds of Hatfield House this summer, but the other members of the Birmingham group.

Naming themselves after the unemployment benefit form, the reggae legends formed in 1978, before releasing their debut album Signing Off in August 1980.

Since then they have sold more than 100 million records and enjoyed a string of hit singles.

Tickets for their Watford gig went on sale today (Friday).

Standing tickets cost £30 and seated tickets £35.50, with a £2.50 per ticket booking fee applicable, capped at six per order.

* Visit www.watfordcolosseum.co.uk for more information and to book online 24 hours a day.

Tickets can also be purchased by calling 0845 075 3993, or visiting the Watford Colosseum ticket office in Rickmansworth Road.
