The It’s A Mystery, Thunder In The Mountains and I Want to Be Free star will be appearing at Hertford Corn Exchange on Saturday night.

The acoustic gig is part of Toyah Willcox’s Up Close & Personal tour.

It will be a special night for support act Alysha Hutchings.

The 15-year-old from Roydon, Essex, was asked by organiser Joolz Addison to perform.

Joolz originally met Alysha when she sang at the Fore Street venue’s Sunday Live Sessions and then later last year to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.

Moved by Alysha’s sad loss of her mother to the disease in 2013, Joolz has been working with Alysha and another songwriter, Ashley Tomlin, to help the singer develop her own style and tell her story through music.

Alysha is very aware of the privilege she has been given to perform at her age with such a famous artist and is very much hoping and looking forward to meeting her.

In memory of her Mum, she is determined to make an impression on the audience and the other artists performing on the night.

Her mother’s bubbly, fun-loving personality and her brave fight against the disease has inspired Alysha to work hard in her honour and to return the support and admiration she has received from her father and brother, Paul and Luke Hutchings.

She will be performing a short set of mostly original songs that tell the story of her mother’s courageous fight against the tumour and her own journey through grief and how she has coped with it.

Alysha will be talking about the songs and what they mean to her and why she has chosen them.

This, she hopes, will be in keeping with Toyah, the night’s headline performer, and will allow the audience to relate to her experience, to inspire them and provide hope in their lives.

Alysha will be performing at 8pm, followed by Pat Crilly and then Toyah.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £20.
