CHART-TOPPERS Tight Fit will be bringing the sights and sounds of the 80s to a Hertford theatre this weekend.

IN the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight...

Looking back, it was the decade taste forgot.

However, the 80s are back in fashion as the younger generation of today discover the music of their parents.

And the revamped Hertford Theatre will be going Back To The 80s on Saturday – with the help of 80s chart-toppers Tight Fit.

The cheesy trio had a number one hit in the UK in March 1982 with a cover of The Lions Sleeps Tonight.

Follow-up single, the Abba-sounding Fantasy Island, was also a top five smash and the Hertford show will be fronted by Tight Fit’s two original female vocalists, Julie Harris and Denise Waterman.

The night promises non-stop covers from the 80s performed live by a full band of musicians who have worked with a host of stars, including A-Ha and Mike Flowers Pops.

The show will be packed with tracks by Duran Duran, ABC, Bananarama, Wham!, Blondie and many more chart-topping acts from the 80s, and will have you up and out of your seat before you can say ‘Wimoweh’!

So if you fancy reliving the decade when the nearest thing to ‘girl power’ was Margaret Thatcher and big hair, even bigger shoulder pads and eyeliner were the norm, join in the fun at the Hertford Theatre.

Tickets for the ultimate 80s musical experience are £15, and £12 concessions, and the show starts at 7.45pm.
