The Waterboys return next year, with a live date confirmed for Hertfordshire.
Best known for hit single The Whole of the Moon, Mike Scott’s group will appear live in Watford as part of their recently announced 2015 tour.
The Waterboys crash thrillingly back into the present with a new sound, a new line-up and, as always, the promise of the unexpected, at the Colosseum on Sunday, December 5, 2015.
“People should expect the unexpected from The Waterboys,” said frontman Mike Scott.
It’s a mission statement which has inspired three decades of compelling musical shape-shifting, and one which yields thrilling results on The Waterboys’ 11th album, Modern Blues, to be released in January.
Last year Ellie Goulding scored a top three UK hit with The Waterboys’ track How Long Will I Love You, and earlier this year Prince performed group’s signature tune, The Whole of the Moon.
Songs by The Waterboys have also featured in recent hit movies About Time, Dom Hemingway and What We Did On Our Holiday.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday, December 4 for Watford Colosseum Priority Members, and on general sale on Friday, December 5, again at 9am.
