A record-breaking sell-out crowd attended this year’s Standon Calling for the Hertfordshire music festival’s 10th birthday bash.

More than 8,500 revellers celebrated 10 years of Standon Calling in the stunning grounds of Standon Lordship.

The festival pulled out all the stops to host incredible live performances from musical heavyweights and upcoming talents, while stepping up the family entertainment, food and production to further secure its place as one of the UK’s best-loved boutique festivals.

Never afraid to punch above its weight when it comes to its musical offering, Standon Calling staged incredible performances across pop, indie, electronic music and more.

Festival-goers surrounded the main stage to witness standout sets from Slaves, Seinabo Sey and Ella Eyre, while headliners Little Dragon, The Dandy Warhols and Basement Jaxx provided a fitting close to each night.

Other highlights on the main stage included the hilarious The Cuban Brothers, house lovers Hercules And Love Affair and the stunning sounds of Charlotte OC.

Crowds in the Big Top enjoyed memorable sets from Roots Manuva, DJ Yoda and shoegazers The Horrors.

Standon Calling organisers also invited some of its favourite musical curators to takeover The Last Dance Saloon each day, with showcases from Bella Union, BBC Introducing and Loose Music, while at night party-lovers flocked to the Cowshed to dance under the stars with Gilles Peterson, Bondax & Friends and Sink The Pink presents Savage and more.

There was plenty to do see and do outside of the music at Standon Calling this year as well.

The festival built its own town looking like something straight out of a spaghetti western to match its ‘Town Of Two Faces’ theme.

Standon Calling founder Alex Trenchard said: “There are countless highlights and for me Basement Jaxx’s headline set on Sunday followed by Gilles Peterson in the Cowshed was the perfect way to end a festival.

“I can’t wait to see you all again next year.”

Standon Calling will return in 2016 from Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31.

Super early bird tickets released on the back of this year’s success sold out in one day.

There are now a limited number of early bird tickets available for £107.
