The first wave of acts playing the Hertfordshire music festival will be announced on Tuesday, March 1 on the BBC Radio 6 Music breakfast show.

Standon will take place this year over the weekend of Friday, July 29 to Sunday, August 31.

This summer’s Standon Calling theme will be confirmed at a launch party on Friday, March 5.

A newsletter from festival organisers said: “We are very excited to confirm our first line-up announcement is coming on Tuesday, March 1.

“We’re welcoming some incredible acts to Standon Calling this year and we’re certain you’re going to love them!

“Tune into BBC 6 Music Breakfast show on Tuesday to hear it straight from one of our headliners.

“We’re expecting the last remaining Tier 1 tickets to fly out the door once we release the line-up.

“So if you haven’t got yours yet, this is your last chance to snap up weekend tickets for only £127 plus booking fee.”

“We’ll also be selling tickets for Standon Calling 2016 at early bird prices for one night only, so come and join the party and save money on your festival ticket.”
