Taking place at Standon Lordship, near Ware, over the weekend of Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, the festival will celebrate its 10th birthday next summer.

And festival founder Alex Trenchard has revealed when the first 2015 line-up announcement will be made.

In a Standon newsletter, he wrote: “We are very excited to confirm that on December 10th we will be announcing our Sunday headliner.

“We don’t want to give too much away just yet, but we can promise you that these guys will deliver the biggest party that Standon has ever seen.”

Standon Calling started out as a small garden party in the grounds of Standon Lordship, but has grown into an acclaimed boutique festival able to attract the likes of Bastille, De La Soul, Frank Turner, Maximo Park, Charli XCX and Public Enemy in recent years.

The festival’s founder said: “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years! Ten years since the party we threw at my family home when my parents were safely away on holiday.

“Ten years since our very first stage (practically held together by string) collapsed.

“And, perhaps most significantly, 10 years since that stroke of midnight when we cut all the lights on our garden party revealing a torch-lit pathway to a surprise performance in a secret glade – which you now know as the Tree Bar.

“Standon Calling had burst the banks of The Lordship lawn and the festival was born.”

As for next year’s festival, he added: “Here at Standon HQ, we’ve spent the last few months taking inspiration from the best moments of the last decade.

“We are getting ready to make a series of announcements over the coming weeks about exciting new plans, including bringing back things you have been telling us you miss from years gone by, as well as big improvements to all aspects of the festival.”

Alex added: “2015 isn’t just our 10th birthday party, it’s also the first year of our next decade and we’ve got big plans we can’t wait to share with you.”

Tier 1 tickets for Standon Calling 2015 will go on sale on December 10, priced at £117.

There are still a few £97 early bird tickets available.
