Sonisphere 2015 first European tour line-up announcement made

Organisers of international touring rock festival Sonisphere have announced the first headliner for the 2015 European shows.

Muse were today confirmed for Sonisphere Switzerland, which will take place at the ExpoPark Nidau, Biel, on Saturday, June 6.

The full festival line-up will be announced soon.

Sonisphere’s official Twitter account @Sonisphere tweeted this morning (Wednesday): “Proud to announce @Muse for Sonisphere Switzerland”

The Swiss leg of Sonisphere is the only one so far announced.

There is still no confirmation whether the UK leg will return to Knebworth or not next summer.

In response to a question on Twitter yesterday (Tuesday) whether there will be a UK show next year, Sonisphere’s Twitter handle tweeted: “@Lisamarie940 Simple answer is we don’t know. Working on it. But have no dates yet. You will get a European one this week mind.”

A further Sonisphere post read: “Probably won’t get news before Xmas to be honest.”

Devon rock trio Muse – Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard – have already been confirmed as one of next year’s Download Festival 2015 headliners.
