Fresh from blowing away the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival, an English punk two-piece from Kent will be playing a much more intimate gig in a St Albans music pub.

Slaves will bring their ‘Back in the Van’ tour to The Horn on Wednesday, September 21.

Singer and drummer Isaac Holman and guitarist Laurie Vincent return to the Victoria Street pub having played there back on Wednesday, February 5, 2014.

The duo’s debut album, Are You Satisfied, was shortlisted for the 2015 Mercury Prize.

A Horn spokesman said: “In the two-and-a-half years since playing The Horn these guys have played all the major UK festivals, a main stage Reading/Leeds performance this year, and are selling out tours ever since, including a show just prior to Xmas at the iconic Brixton Academy.”

This month’s St Albans concert is part of a tour of intimate UK venues as a thank you to loyal fans that have pre-ordered new album Take Control.
