More bands will be announced for Hatfield music festival Slam Dunk 2019 next week.

Organisers have confirmed when the second Slam Dunk Festival 2019 line-up announcement will be made.

Eleven more groups will be announced for the touring pop-punk, metal, ska punk and alternative rock festival on Tuesday.

Slam Dunk tweeted: “NEXT #SDF19 ANNOUNCEMENT: TUESDAY http://slamdunkfestival.com

A post on the festival’s Facebook page later revealed more about the announcement.

It read: “Interesting fact! Out of the 11 bands we are announcing tomorrow... 10 of them have never played Slam Dunk Festival before!”

All Time Low have already been named as the festival’s headliners for 2019, with their Slam Dunk shows being UK exclusives.

It will be the Maryland pop-punk favourites’ second headline appearance at Slam Dunk after also topping the bill in 2013.

Ahead of the latest SDF19 line-up announcement, here’s what we know about next year’s festival so far.

WHEN IS SLAM DUNK 2019?

Slam Dunk Festival 2019 dates are over the Spring May Bank Holiday weekend – Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.

WHERE WILL SLAM DUNK 2019 TAKE PLACE?

Slam Dunk 2019 will take place in Leeds and Hatfield.

Slam Dunk Festival North will move to new outdoor Leeds venue Temple Newsam Park on Saturday, May 25.

It will no longer take place in Leeds city centre.

Slam Dunk Festival South will return to its new site in Hatfield Park on Sunday, May 26.

After previously being held at the University of Hertfordshire’s College Lane Campus, the festival moved across town in 2018 to an expansive parkland site in the grounds of Hertfordshire stately home Hatfield House.

The location switch also enabled organisers to double the Slam Dunk South capacity after the university site was capped at 10,000 festival-goers.

Slam Dunk South is located in Hatfield Park directly opposite Hatfield Train Station.
