Tickets for Slam Dunk Festival 2016 in Hatfield go on sale this week.

The touring pop punk, ska, emo and metalcore festival returns to Hatfield over the Spring May Bank Holiday weekend.

Slam Dunk South will take place at The Forum Hertfordshire on Bank Holiday Monday, May 30.

The North and Midlands legs will be held in Leeds and new site Birmingham on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29 respectively.

SDF16 will be headlined by Panic! At The Disco in an exclusive UK rock festival performance in 2016.

Slam Dunk Festival History 2006-2016

* Slam Dunk Festival started in 2006 with a one-off show at Leeds Millennium Square.

* 2007: The festival move to Leeds University and develop the multi-stage format.

* 2010: The introduction of the first Slam Dunk southern date. Hatfield was chosen due to the amazing site and great transport links from London.

* 2013: The festival open a third site in Wolverhampton. The festival also had smaller spin-offs in Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

* 2015: The Leeds site moved back to Millennium Square and took over the surrounding areas to close roads and create a mini festival site with Leeds city Centre.

*2016 will see the Midlands site move to the Birmingham NEC.

The band release their highly-anticipated new record, Death of a Bachelor, on January 15.

The Slam Dunk line-up so far also includes New Found Glory, Four Year Strong, Issues, Memphis May Fire, Real Friends, and Every Time I Die, with more than 40 acts still to be announced across seven stages.

In celebration of Slam Dunk’s 10th anniversary, the remaining line-up will contain many bands that have played over last 10 years.

Tickets for all three dates go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 27.

Tickets cost £42, or £47 including after show.

The festival is for ages 14 plus, and it is 18 plus for the after show.

Due to popular demand, for the first time there is also a limited edition mega ticket on sale for £150.

This ticket is for people wishing to attend all three events, and includes after shows, wristband exchange queue jumps and limited edition T-shirt.

Parking tickets for Slam Dunk South in Hatfield cost £5 in advance are available from The Forum Hertfordshire’s website.
