Tickets for touring music festival Slam Dunk, which comes to Hatfield in May, are expected to sell out in the coming weeks.

The pop-punk, ska punk, emo, metalcore and rock event returns to The Forum Hertfordshire site, on the University of Hertfordshire’s College Lane Campus, on the May Spring Bank Holiday Monday, May 30.

Slam Dunk visits Leeds and Birmingham on the Saturday and Sunday for the festival’s North and Midlands legs.

Headlined by American album chart-toppers Panic! At The Disco and also featuring Of Mice & Men and New Found Glory, the Hatfield leg of the Slam Dunk tour is now the smallest of the three.

Tickets for Slam Dunk South in Hatfield are expected to sell out next month, with the festival’s 10th anniversary showpiece in Leeds city centre also on course to do so.

Slam Dunk Midlands has moved from Wolverhampton Civic to a much bigger site at The NEC, Birmingham.

Organisers last week posted a ticket warning on the festival’s official Facebook page and via Twitter.

A Facebook update before Easter said: “IMPORTANT NEWS! People keep asking us when tickets will sell out, so we feel it’s the right time to give you this information.

“Slam Dunk Festival South, now the smallest site, will sell out in the next few weeks, certainly by the end of next month.

“This will also probably the case for North, we can’t be sure.

“Midlands, now the biggest site, should have tickets available till close to the event.”

The post finished by saying: “This is not a publicity stunt! We genuinely feel bad if people miss out on tickets without us giving them warning!”

Tickets for each leg of Slam Dunk cost £42, with a mega ticket for all three dates also available.

Organisers are set to confirm the respective stage line-ups this coming week.
