THE Rivals top the bill at Rock in the Car Park at the Farmer’s Boy pub in Brickendon on August Bank Holiday Monday.

The covers band will make a return visit following an acclaimed appearance there last year.

The locally-based foursome play hard-edged versions of indie rock songs by The Killers, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon and the Stereophonics, and will get toes tapping and funsters on their feet with a set featuring the dual guitars of vocalists Paul Smedley and Paul Moore.

They will be joined on the stage by The Stanlees, The Palm Tree Club, The Doctors, Suspended on Full Pay, Hickey, Blues and Confused and Wasted Rhymes among others.

The show gets going from 1pm and admission is £5 on the door for adults and free for children, with proceeds being donated to the Keech Cottage hospital.
