SHEFFIELD indie rockers Reverend and The Makers have been added to the Red Hot Chili Peppers bill for Knebworth Park this summer.

Fronted by the charismatic Jon McClure, the Sheffield quintet will open for RHCP at Knebworth on Saturday, June 23.

Also supporting the Chilis at the Hertfordshire stately home is chart-topping British grime star Dizzee Rascal.

No strangers to performances on a grand scale, having supported Oasis on their last ever tour, including dates at Wembley Stadium, Reverend and The Makers will join American rockers RHCP at both their exclusive open air UK shows this summer, with the Chilis playing Sunderland’s Stadium of Light the day after Knebworth.

Further special guests are to be announced for both venues.

Standards tickets for the Knebworth date cost £50 and are available from 0844 871 8803, 0871 989 1601, and See Tickets.

A fortnight after the Chilis’ Knebworth concert, the international touring festival that is Sonisphere 2012 rolls into the Hertfordshire countryside from Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8.
