The Modfather has announced a 14-date UK tour for March 2015 that sees a special one-off performance at Watford Colosseum on Monday, March 9.
The tour sees Weller play a more varied selection of towns and venues across the UK than the usual run of large arena dates.
The singer, who will support The Who at Barclaycard British Summer Time in Hyde Park on Friday, June 26, has chosen locations “often missed by touring bands”, which means shows in the likes of Watford, Scunthorpe, Carlisle and Swindon.
Having split up The Jam at the height of their powers in 1982, after six era-defining studio albums, Weller spent the rest of the 80s challenging pop convention with The Style Council, releasing five albums during their eclectic career.
Forging a successful solo career in the early 90s, Weller was reinstalled as the preeminent songwriter of his generation.
He has 11 solo albums to his name to date and won a long list of awards, including the prestigious Ivor Novello award for Lifetime Achievement in 2010 and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2006.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday, December 4 for Watford Colosseum priority members and then on general sale on Friday, December 5, again at 9am.
