GENRE-HOPPING London band Modestep will be appearing at tomorrow night’s (Tuesday’s) monthly Distort electronic music night at the Forum Hertfordshire in Hatfield.

The four-piece live dubstep/electronic rock band will play the College Lane venue ahead of the release of their new single, To The Stars, through MAX/A&M Records on Monday, November 7.

The track follows the quartet’s BBC Radio 1 A-Listed single Sunlight, which gave the band their first UK top 20 single and whose accompanying video has had more than five million YouTube views.

Modestep are Josh Friend (vocals, keyboards), Tony Friend (decks, guitar), Nick Tsang (guitar), and Matt Curtis (drums).

Weaving dubstep’s contemporary sounds into their songs, Modestep’s debut album is due for release in early 2012.

Tickets for Distort featuring a full live set by Modestep are £5.
