A CONCERT designed exclusively for young people will take place in Hatfield this week.

This Friday, December 10, Breaks Manor youth centre in Link Drive will host “Mash Up” – a gig night for 13 to 19-year-olds showcasing some of the borough’s musical talent.

The event will feature four up-and-coming local bands – Kingston Inn, Our Strength, Anonymous and the headliners Clementine.

Youth Council chairman Lewis Mansi said: “This is to raise awareness of the creative talent we have in the borough and celebrate it. The Youth Council has been lucky enough to gain some experience of working behind the scenes for nights like this, including the Bank Holiday Bash at the Forum in April, so we’re really pleased to get this opportunity with Youth Connexions. ”

Community artist Mark Tanti has produced a special backdrop at the venue, and there will be a free soft drink on entry to the event.

Entry is £5, or £4 with a flyer.

The night starts at 7pm and finishes at 10.30pm
