MAMMA MIA! Dig out your platforms and get ready to sing and dance the night away.

Dancing Queen, Take A Chance on Me, Waterloo and Mamma Mia – all instantly recognisable Abba pop classics.

And fans of Sweden’s most famous musical export are in for a treat in Stevenage on Sunday, May 19.

For ABBA REUNION, an all-live Abba tribute show, comes to the Gordon Craig Theatre, recreating the sound of Anni-Frid, Björn, Benny and Agnetha.

The show promises an evening full of hits from one of the world’s most successful pop groups ever.

Having taken Europe by storm in 1974, when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo, Abba went on to top pop charts worldwide for well over a decade.

In 1999, their much-loved songs were adapted into the phenomenally successful musical Mamma Mia!, which has grossed more than $2billion worldwide and introduced a whole new generation to hit songs such as Knowing Me, Knowing You, SOS, Take A Chance On Me, Thank You for the Music, The Winner Takes It All, Voulez Vous and Money, Money, Money.

ABBA REUNION is one of the country’s leading international tribute shows. The unique Abba sound is replicated with incredible attention to detail, using a six-piece band featuring electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards and piano, drums and bass guitar.

The wonderful lyrics and music penned by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus are recreated by all six performers on stage, with the main focus on Agnetha and Frida, whose differentiating voices helped create that sound.

Accurate vocals, mannerisms, authentic choreography and a full live-band, combined with stunning replica costumes, captivates audiences from the opening refrain to the final sing-along chorus of this two-hour, feel-good, party-style concert.

From Waterloo to Dancing Queen, all of the hits are performed with an incredible attention to detail.

Tickets for the Gordon Craig show cost £19.50 and are available from the box office on 01438 363200 or from the website www.gordon-craig.co.uk
