THE Levellers are playing the Alban Arena in St Albans later this month.

FOLK rockers dust off your dreads!

The Levellers will be coming only One Way on Wednesday, May 15 – to St Albans for a live gig at the Alban Arena.

It’s 22 years since Brighton’s most famous anti-authoritarian crusty rockers released their seminal debut album Levelling the Land.

The record, featuring singles One Way and Far From Home, catapulted frontman Mark Chadwick and his cohorts into the consciousness of music fans across the country.

It saw Levellers transformed overnight from favourites of the underground indie-music scene to nationally recognised stars and they subsequently scored five further hit albums in the 90s, including chart-topper Zeitgeist in 1995.

Known for their energetic live shows, Levellers will be playing at the Alban Arena on Wednesday, May 15, at 8pm.

Tickets cost £21.50. Call the Alban Arena box office on 01727 844488 or book online at www.alban-arena.co.uk
