ORGANISERS of electronic music festival Eastern Electrics have vowed to make 2014’s event even better than this year’s successful first show in Knebworth Park.

The team behind Eastern Electrics 2013 have thanked the thousands of techno and house music fans who attended this month’s three-day dance extravaganza in the grounds of Knebworth House.

And with a three-year licence at the Hertfordshire stately home granted, plans are already being put in place to improve the production in 2014.

A statement posted on the festival’s website today (Thursday) said: “We’d like to thank everyone that came to the first Eastern Electrics Festival.

“It took a lot of hard work from everyone involved to move from a one-day event in central London to a three-day all-day and all-night extravaganza in the countryside, but we pulled it off.

“Anyone who came to the event will have seen the effort that went into building the Switchyard and the Electric City, as well as all the other touches around the site, such as the forest area.

“We’re gonna build on all of these things next year and add even more interesting elements to the mix.”

This year’s first Eastern Electrics Festival in Hertfordshire featured hundreds of DJs playing through the night, with headline slots from the likes of Moderat, Hot Natured live and Masters at Work.

The line-up also included Seth Troxler, Richie Hawtin and Maya Jane Coles.

A video teaser of a movie filmed at the festival has also been revealed, ahead of the full release on Monday. You can watch it above.

The EE statement continued: “We’ve been overwhelmed by amazing feedback from the artists, people that worked on the show and most importantly you guys [the fans].

“Look out for our full after movie for Eastern Electrics Festival 2013 this Monday and we can’t wait for EE 2014, we’re already putting the plans in place – booking the acts, improving the production and as soon as we’ve got some more news, you guys will be the first to know.

“If you can’t wait until then, there’s a small matter of a New Year’s Eve Party to deal with...”
