Klaxons appearing live in Hatfield

THE indie-rock dance band featuring actress Keira Knightley’s new husband will be appearing live in Hatfield next week.

Former Mercury Prize winners Klaxons will be performing a live set at the Forum Hertfordshire on Wednesday night.

The alternative new rave rockers will be the special guests at the Bonk club event being held at the University of Hertfordshire’s entertainment complex in College Lane.

The group, including Keira Knightley’s keyboardist husband James Righton, will be performing live on stage after midnight.

Tickets cost from £5 and are on sale now. Doors open at 9.30pm. It’s strictly over 18s only and a valid passport, driving licence or UH ID card is essential for entry.

Klaxons’ debut album, Myths of the Near Future, won the 2007 Mercury Prize and included singles Magick, Golden Skans and It’s Not Over Yet.

Follow-up Surfing the Void was released in 2010.

Keyboard player and vocalist Righton married Anna Karenina and Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley in France last week.
