SATIRICAL songwriter Leon Rosselson launches his new CD this weekend.

The folk singer who lists performances on legendary television show, That Was The Week That Was, among his credits, will introduce the album with a show at the Abbey Theatre Studios, Westminster Lodge, St Albans, on Sunday.

The album, titled A Proper State, contains tracks about such diverse subjects as mobile phone conversations, the empty ambitions of contemporary life and the Trident Nuclear Base at Falsane near Glasgow.

Leon Rosselson has also written 17 books for children.
